Britannia Shipyard Family Portraits

I met up with this stunning family in September for some Britannia Shipyard family portraits.

I love it when such an incredible location is so close to a family’s home. These kids were able to ride their bikes over to our meeting place as their parents strolled behind. If you have kids for whom helmet head isn’t going to be an issue, this is a relaxed, fun way to get to your session.

The buildings at Britannia Shipyards are all so beautifully distressed. The textures make a beautiful backdrop for family photographs. You also have so many options for backdrops so we can generally find something that suits everyone’s décor.

These kids had so much energy (in a good way). The truth is, I don’t need more than hour to capture your family. The extra time means the kids can run around, collect treasures and do a little dance performance and still come back to enjoy their turn in front of the camera.

I’m a neutral girl at heart so I loved this family’s approach to choosing their outfits. By going with white, black, denim, army green and khaki, everyone coordinates but no one is dressed the same. Their outfits are perfect for family portraits yet they don’t look they tried too hard.

If you live in Richmond, Britannia Shipyard family portraits are a great choice.

And if Britannia Shipyard isn’t your style, check out our Garry Point Park feature. When you book your family portraits we’re happy to recommend a location close to home that suits both your family’s personality and home décor.
